Project Features:
AES will provide the necessary Architect-Engineer (A/E) services including continued technical support, maintenance and design required to successfully execute task orders for the USACE Army Facilities Component System (AFCS). AFCS designs are reviewed and updated constantly to utilize state-of-the-art technology in construction designs, materials, and techniques within Army transformation to conserve resources. To conserve resources, standardized and simplified designs for essential facilities are developed for use by multiple military branches. These designs enable one to adapt to local climates and material, and they require only some skilled work for assembly. Thus, engineer tasking can be expanded by supplementation with non-engineer troops or indigenous labor.
