Project Features:

AES has provided a licensed Civil/Structural Engineer, a Scheduler and an Administrative Assistant, to perform Construction Management Services on site for the Construction of the Phase 4 Parking Garage (325,341 sf) at the VA in Puerto Rico. This project is to assist the senior resident engineer in performing monitoring and inspection of construction for compliance with contract requirements on a non-personal services basis.

Tasks include constructability reviews, monitoring/inspecting, reporting, data entry, proposals review and coordination efforts as required to support the CFM’s mission. Shift work is required to provide coverage of construction work at the site. There are multiple A/E design efforts and construction contracts in place. AES is monitoring these and advising CFM on coordination of contract issues. We are also developing an integrated master schedule for the overall program.

Other responsibilities include daily inspections of site work, building construction work; review for documents discrepancies, code violations, improper materials or techniques in the application of materials, substandard or poor quality workmanship; monitoring schedules on various aspects of ongoing daily activities to identify and mitigate project slippage and coordinate project phasing; review of contractor's submittals and RFIs for technical compliance with contract requirements; revision of  Contractor Proposed utility services and/or traffic interruptions plans and report to SRE; preparing estimates for changes and reviewing contractor change quotations and cost breakdowns for proposed quantities of labor, equipment and materials and more. AES Group is also providing supervision and project management from our office in Parker, CO. This includes coordination of daily reports, phase photos including aerial pictures, and evaluation of the progress of the project through daily communications with our on-site Civil Engineer.
