Project Features:
- Sizes:
- Base Library (photo on left) = 12.25 kW
- Medical Treatment Facility (photo on right) = 72.75 kW
- Installation Site: PV modules installed on the standing seam metal roofs. Wiring from the panels to the inverter run in conduit to the inverter location.
- Electrical: DC power from the solar modules routed in electrical conduit to the inverter. AC power from the inverters routed to the main electrical service panel. Conduit run on the outside of the roof and walls, and painted to match the underlying surface if possible.
- 175 Watt solar modules installed. The Medical Treatment Facility has a 100kW inverter, and the Library has 2-7000 Watt inverters. Using kWh meters included with the system, the owner can determine net energy production.
- Mounting: PV modules installed with secure, pre-engineered mounting systems using all stainless steel and aluminum hardware for long-term durability. For the standing seam metal roof, PV modules attached to aluminum fixtures mounted on the seams. Fixtures securely fastened to the elevated seams using stainless steel set screws.
- Other: The installation includes web-based remote monitoring including 2 wall mounted and one free standing kiosk. The MTF/McGuire AFB has a wireless network to which the kiosks for displaying the system's output is wirelessly interconnected.
